Mast Machines

The mast faceting machine grew out of America’s amateur cutting community, where, absent Europe’s apprenticeship traditions, pioneers reinvented faceting tools and techniques. Unlike earlier styles, the mast relies on mechanical components to control precise angles, rotations, and indexable height settings. Although it’s the newest of the three main types, it’s now popular worldwide—especially among hobbyists—and even sees occasional professional use across America, Europe, South America, and Asia.
